No one was more surprised than I was when my friend asked me to help him change the fuel filter on his dad's 2004 Range Rover. I wasn't surprised that he asked me -- I was surprised that his dad let him touch the Range Rover.
We got a memory-saver device from the parts store and followed the instructions for installing it, and then we disconnected the negative battery cable. After relieving the fuel pressure, we used the jacking points on the frame rails to raise and support the Range Rover. We found the fuel filter behind a panel under the right front of the truck.
