Where Is the Jack in a 2007 GMC Yukon?

In 1992, GMC released the Yukon as the replacement for the full-size Jimmy SUV. In 2007, the third-generation Yukon hit the market with a revised exterior look. The 2008 GMC Yukon came standard with a full-size spare tire mounted under the SUV, and a tool kit with a jack hidden away in a small storage area in the rear of the vehicle.

Finding the Jack

  • Find the storage tray -- the plastic tray with a flat storage area and two cup holders -- next to the rear passenger seat on the driver side, just above the rear wheel well. Reach your hand inside the storage tray and grab the handle inside the flat storage area. Pull upward on the storage tray to remove it, exposing the floor jack and spare-tire tool kit. Remove the thumbscrew securing the jack and wheel chocks inside this storage compartment, and lift the jack and wheel chocks out.
