Things You'll Need

  • 800 grit sandpaper
  • 1200 grit sandpaper
  • 2000 grit sandpaper
  • Soft cloth
  • Solvent
  • Metal polish
  • Sealant
  • Clean the surface of the rim thoroughly with solvent. Apply with a soft cloth.

  • Sand the damaged area of the rim with 800 grit sandpaper. Wipe away any excess dust with a soft cloth.

  • Sand the damaged area of the rim with 1200 grit sandpaper. Wipe away any excess dust with a soft cloth.

  • Sand the damaged area of the rim with 2000 grit sandpaper. Wipe away any excess dust with a soft cloth.

  • Polish the sanded area of the rim with a metal polish. Apply the metal polish with a soft cloth.
