How to Find the Paint Color Code for a Cadillac

Scratches or chips in the paint on your Cadillac can be touched up by the vehicle owner without the aid of a body shop. Using the wrong paint color can make a small problem even worse, so determining the correct color code is paramount to the success of the repair. A paint color code should be located on your car unless you or a previous owner removed the sticker.

  • Find the color code sticker on your car. It is a white or white-and-silver sticker that is in a different location depending on the model of your Cadillac. If your Cadillac is two-tone, you should find two stickers in two different locations.

  • Determine your color code by looking at the number on the sticker.

  • Go to an automotive store, a Cadillac dealer, or a web site (see References) to get the coordinating paint number. The number will be different by vehicle year so as to allow for natural fading.
