How to Adjust Kawasaki Shocks

Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. manufactures a wide variety of motorcycles, jet skis and off-roading vehicles. If you have a Kawasaki motorcycle, you might want to adjust the shocks so that your ride is as comfortable as possible. Kawasaki bikes tend to be very heavy pieces of equipment, and without proper shock adjustment you will have a bumpy ride.

  • Locate the rear shock of your bike. The shock is exposed, and resembles a large metal spring.

  • Read the numbers on the outside of the rear shock. There are five shocks settings, 1 being the lower end of the scale.

  • Use an appropriately sized ratchet to turn the screw on the shock clockwise. As you do so, more tension will be added to the shock and lines will be revealed next to the number 1.

  • Continue turning until you reach the desired level of tension for your shocks.
