The 2007 Jeep EGR Valve Location

Jeep is a vehicle brand owned by Chrysler Corp. that designs and manufactures off-road vehicles including SUVs and military-style trucks. The 2007 Jeep vehicles are equipped with an EGR valve. The EGR valve can become dirty and damaged over time due to carbon buildup. It's important to learn how to locate and access the 2007 Jeep EGR in case the component needs to be cleaned or replaced.

  • Park the 2007 Jeep and let the vehicle cool down for a half hour. If the vehicle was driven for a long period of time, allow up to an hour for all components to properly cool.

  • Open the hood of the Jeep. Locate the valve cover on the passenger side of the vehicle behind the engine block.

  • Identify the EGR valve. You will see a small metal cylinder with a hose coming out of the top. This is the EGR valve. The valve has a plunger that moves up and down when the engine is running.
