How to Reset the Clock on a Mitsubishi Outlander

Mitsubishi Motors is a Japanese automaker headquartered in Tokyo. The company is part of the Mitsubishi Companies conglomerate and is the sixth largest automaker in Japan. Mitsubishi models such as the Outlander are sold in many countries around the world. The clock in some recent models of Outlander is located within the stereo and appears on a digital display set in the dashboard. You might need to reset the time if you drive into a new time zone or if the clock displays an incorrect time.

  • Switch the stereo on by pressing the "PWR" button.

  • Press and hold down the "Tune" button for two seconds or more. The stereo will enter "Function Set Up Mode."

  • Press the "Tune" button repeatedly until "CT ON" or "CT OFF" is displayed on the screen.

  • Turn the tune switch left or right until "CT OFF" is shown.

  • Press and hold the "Clock" button until the clock display starts to flash.

  • Repeatedly press the "1 RPT" button to change the hour.

  • Repeatedly press the "2 RDM" button to change the minutes.

  • Press the "3" button to round the minutes to the nearest hour. For example, 12:29 becomes 12:00 but 12:31 becomes 1:00.

  • Press the "DISP" button when you are finished to confirm the time and exit "Function Set Up Mode."
