There are several ways to open a BMW convertible's fuel filler flap. It depends on exactly what model of BMW convertible you have. On some BMWs, there is a button by the driver's seat that unlocks the fuel flap. On other BMWs, you can open the fuel flap manually by lifting on a raised lip. On others, you open the fuel filler flap by pushing on the flap, causing it to unlatch from the inside and pop open. Once your BMW convertible's fuel flap is open, you can begin filling your BMW with premium unleaded gasoline.
Unlock all the BMW's doors.
Press the right edge (the rear or trailing edge) of the fuel filler flap to open it.
Turn the fuel cap counterclockwise to remove it, then place it in its holder on the inside of the fuel filler flap.
