How to Replace Chevrolet Aveo Front Turn Signal Light Bulbs

The Chevy Aveo's front turn signal bulbs double as the car's front parking lights. Being used by multiple applications, you may have to replace the bulb a little more frequently than you'd like. The simplistic design of the Aveo's front grille makes turn signal replacement a breeze. Rather than being stored in its own separate case, the front turn signal is stored in the same assembly as the headlights.

Things You'll Need

  • Socket wrench or pliers
  • Bulb 94535578
  • Open the Aveo's hood once the engine is shut down. Locate the three bolts on the headlight case corresponding to the front turn signal you want to replace. Two bolts are on the top, and one is on the inboard side.

  • Remove the three bolts with a socket wrench or pliers. Pull the Aveo's headlight case toward you to remove it from the grille. Locate the wiring harness on the back of the assembly. Unplug it, and bring the headlight case to a table.

  • Identify the front turn-signal bulb socket. This is the socket located on the outboard edge of the assembly. The other two bulbs are the headlights (high and low beam).

  • Twist the socket counterclockwise to release it from the assembly. You'll now see the bulb attached to the socket. Push the bulb slightly, and turn it counterclockwise to unscrew it.

  • Insert the new bulb in the socket. Push down gently, and turn it clockwise. Place the socket back into the assembly. Turn it clockwise.

  • Plug the wiring harness into the back of the assembly. Place it back in the mount. Insert and tighten the three bolts with your socket wrench or pliers.
