The rear windshield wiper on your Lexus GX 470 is a 14" wiper blade. You should check your GX470's wiper blade every six months to make sure that the blade isn't chipped, cracked or peeling. If it is, you will need to replace the blade. Replacement blades can normally be purchased from most auto parts stores. While the rear wiper blade on the Lexus GX 470 normally lasts longer than the front wipers (due to less frequent use), severe weather can shorten the life of the blade, whether you use it or not.
Pull the bolt cover off the wiper arm (It is located on the base of the wiper arm).
Pull the wiper arm away from the rear window until the arm locks in a position that is perpendicular to the rear window.
Swing the wiper blade until it is perpendicular to the wiper arm assembly.
Push down on the release tab of the wiper blade assembly, where the wiper blade connects to the wiper arm.
Pull the wiper blade off of the wiper arm.
Slide the new wiper blade onto the arm and lower the arm onto the rear window. Installation is the exact reverse of the removal procedure. Lastly, replace the plastic bolt cover.
