How to Replace Cadillac Tail Light Bulbs

Removing the taillights on a Cadillac is a quick and simple process. The taillights are located in the trunk and are enclosed by the taillight shell. The upkeep of your taillights is important, as you take a chance of being stopped by law enforcement if the lights are not functioning correctly. Keeping all lights working will save money in the long run.

Things You'll Need

  • New taillight
  • Open the trunk to access the lights. The assembly is located just behind the lights. They can only be accessed in the trunk.

  • Grasp the wiring connector and twist counterclockwise. Pull as you twist the connector. It will come out with a bulb at the end of it.

  • Twist the bulb counterclockwise and pull off. It will come out of the assembly.

  • Insert the new bulb into the assembly. Push the bulb down and twist until it locks in place.

  • Push the connector back into the assembly. Push in and turn clockwise. The connector will lock in place.

  • Close the trunk. Turn on the headlights and inspect the taillights to ensure they are working correctly.
