The horn is a very important safety feature on any car. If the horn in your Kia Sportage has malfunctioned, you should replace it as soon as possible. Removing your old horn is very easy to do. You may also wish to consider replacing your horn with a louder version. A link to instructions for hooking up a louder horn can be found in the Resources section below.
Remove the plastic plugs that hold the inner fender on the rear passenger side of the vehicle. The horn is located under the fender near the bumper.
Remove the bolt that holds the horn in place.
Take out the old horn, and replace it with a new one. Be sure to disconnect the wires carefully and hook them up to the new horn the same way.
Put the bolt back in place.
Put the fender back on and push the plastic plugs back into place.
