Pontiac Vibe Radio Problems

The Pontiac Vibe refers to a compact hatchback car manufactured by General Motors and Toyota. Pontiac Vibe radio systems can develop various problems.

Blown Fuse

  • A blown fuse, or the device that protects a circuit from excess current by melting when a certain temperature is reached, may cause the Pontiac Vibe radio to go out. Check for any blown fuses, which often appear black, to restore proper radio function. If your fuses blow frequently, check to ensure your speakers are properly wired.

No Volume

  • A Pontiac Vibe radio that fails to produce volume may result from a drained battery or bad speakers. Check the battery to ensure a proper charge as well as the speaker wire for loose or damaged connections. If the battery produces a full charge and the wires function properly, the speakers may be bad and require replacement.

Head Unit

  • Problems with the Pontiac Vibe head unit, or the component that controls the car’s entertainment media, can result in poor, or lack of, volume, failure to recognize CDs or other media, and control panel issues. Check the wire connections, along with the battery and fuse to ensure proper power first, then replace the head unit if problems persist.
