Mazda Code P1345

The computer in your Mazda controls the electrical components of the vehicle and indicates when there are problems with the car. A p1345 code error indicates that there are camshaft problems in the vehicle.

Identification

  • The p1345 code on your Mazda's computer indicates that there's a problem with the camshaft position sensor. The camshaft position sensor tells the computer the exact movements of the cam for timing purposes.

Effects

  • A p1354 error will cause the check engine light to come on. Your Mazda may also run roughly at all rpm ranges when the cam sensor isn't functioning properly. The engine's timing will also be incorrect.

Prevention/Solution

  • Check the electrical connection from the engine wiring harness to the camshaft position sensor. If the connection is complete, the sensor may be broken. Replace the sensor if it doesn't work.
