The Location of the Fuse Box in a Chevy Cavalier

Even though the Cavalier led the field in sales among Chevy's passenger-car lineup in 2003, by 2005 it was losing ground to smaller cars like the Aveo and Cobalt. In crash tests by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Cavalier earned low scores in side-impact tests. However, it received high marks from owners for reliability, performance and styling. If you're looking for a nugget of wisdom to take away from that, it's don't let yourself get T-boned and your Cavalier will perform well for you.

The Fuse Blocks

  • Your 2005 Cavalier has two fuse blocks. The instrument panel fuse block is behind a panel on the left end of the instrument panel. The underhood fuse block is in the engine compartment, on the driver's side against the wheel well, forward of the shock tower and behind the windshield washer fluid reservoir.
