Each model of the Mercedes-Benz E320 has an on-board computer that tracks driving conditions to determine when regular service is needed. When the time for service comes up, a service reminder is displayed on the instrument cluster. A Mercedes-Benz technician will typically reset the message when they perform the maintenance. Otherwise, the service message can be manually reset. Resetting the message allows the computer to accurately track when the next maintenance interval should take place.
Turn the ignition switch to "On" without starting the engine.
Press and release the "0" button on the left side of the instrument cluster twice immediately after turning the ignition on.
Turn the ignition off.
Press and hold the "0" button.
Turn the ignition on.
Release the "0" button after the service message resets. Turn the ignition off.
