Replace your alternator after your vehicle reaches 100,000 miles. The alternator in many vehicles needs to be replaced around this time and the Range Rover is no exception. Depending on your location and choice of mechanic, your new alternator should be no more than $600.
Replace your fuel pump after 100,000 miles. Fuel pumps are generally less than $400. It's possible that you may only need certain parts replaced, or you may be able to get by with a cheaper fuel pump that is intended for a different car entirely. Shop around before deciding to spend the $400 as certain mechanics will be more apt to help you find loop holes and deals.
Ask your mechanic to check the sensors, located on your dash, when you take your Range Rover in for oil changes. These sensors are meant to alert you if you are experiencing a power steering, traction or even engine problems among others. If the sensors burn out, then you may find yourself broken down as you won't receive a proper alert.
Request to not only have the transmission fluid drained, but also for the transmission filter to be removed after 30,000 miles. This is a task that most people can't perform at home as it requires a tool made solely for this purpose, for the Land Rover.
