When the alarm for your Neon is set off and the remote is not deactivating it, then it may require a manual reset. When your alarm is manually reset it goes back to the factory settings that were originally installed on the car when it came from the dealership. Your alarm can be quickly and easily reset by following a few simple steps.
Unlock the hood of your car using the button or lever located inside.
Open the hood and make sure it is propped up.
Remove the negative cable from the terminal and leave it off the terminal for about 3 minutes.
Replace the negative cable onto its terminal and your alarm should be reset to factory settings.
