How to Replace Honda Pilot Wiper Blades

The Honda Pilot has three windshield wipers: two on the front windshield and one on the rear windshield. When you notice that the windshield wipers are not working well anymore, it is a relatively simple process to change them out. Be sure that you purchase windshield wiper blades that are compatible with the Honda Pilot, taking note of the difference between the front and back windshield wiper blades. As you change the blades, be careful that you don't let the wiper blade arm or wiper blade snap back against the windshield.

Things You'll Need

  • Replacement windshield wiper blades

Rear Windshield Wiper Replacement

  • Lift the windshield wiper arm up and away from the rear windshield.

  • Slide the old windshield wiper blade out of the arm.

  • Slide the new windshield wiper blade into the arm, making sure that it sits in the slot along the full length of the blade arm.

  • Lower the windshield wiper blade arm carefully until it rests against the rear windshield.

Front Windshield Wiper Replacement

  • Lift the driver's side windshield wiper arm off the windshield followed by the passenger's side windshield wiper arm.

  • Examine the wiper blade assembly and how it attaches to the wiper blade arm. Locate the lock tab, found just under the connection point. Press the tab and slide the wiper blade assembly off of the wiper blade arm.

  • Pull the blade free from the wiper blade assembly. Grasp it at the tabbed end and pull firmly, sliding the blade out of the blade assembly.

  • Slide the new wiper blade into the wiper blade holder until it clicks in place.

  • Slide the wiper blade assembly back onto the wiper blade arm. Lower first the passenger's side wiper blade arm and then the driver's side wiper blade arm.
