Incandescent light bulbs are more than 100 years old, and they have been burning out for just as long. Having a burned-out brake light or turn signal bulb on your Chevrolet Blazer isn't merely inconvenient, it's a potential ticket waiting to happen. Fortunately, fixing the problem requires only a quick stop at the parts store and 10 minutes of repair time.
Drop the tailgate and use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the factory taillight from the quarter panels. Pull out the taillight lens to access the bulbs.
Twist the burned-out bulb out of the taillight housing and remove it. Place the replacement bulb in the bulb socket, and twist it back into the stock location in the lens.
Place the taillight lens into the quarter panel and secure it to the Blazer with the stock screws and the Phillips head screwdriver. Turn on the hazard switch on the dashboard and make sure the turn signal bulb is working.
