Recently the Circle Track crew went testing with a friend who "dusted off" one of his old race trailers. Naturally, to avoid any unwanted run-ins with the law, we spent some time checking and rechecking all of the trailer functions but that was after he had pulled it out from behind the shop and hooked everything up. If only we had the new Heavy Ranger MUTT from Innovative Products of America. We would have found out we had an electrical problem before ever spending the time to hook up the trailer.
Now, MUTT is actually an acronym that stands for Mobile Universal Trailer Tester, a time-saving, portable, and lightweight solution for testing lights and electric brakes on many different size and length trailers. Compatible with 7-way round pin connection types, the Heavy Ranger MUTT is designed to simulate all electrical circuits while providing short protection on industry standard pin configurations. The water resistant, "ammo can" case allows for on-the-go testing without the need for a tow vehicle. And that is where it comes in really handy for the racer.
