Carburetor technology is light years ahead of where it was when many of us began racing "back in the day." And now Barry Grant has pushed it further into the future with a revolutionary new design. The company calls it the "D Flow" Race Demon, and it's brand-new.

Every Race Demon has billet-aluminum metering blocks, billet-aluminum baseplates, patented removable boosters, large capacity fuel bowls with patented sight glasses, and patented, streamlined air entries. But the new D Flow Demon features unique "D" shaped butterflies.

Barry Grant says that this new design offers more airflow than conventional round butterfly carbs resulting in more horsepower and torque on big motors using a standard bolt pattern. And it's got the dyno results to back up the claims, current dyno testing shows gains of 5 lb-ft of torque and 10 hp on a mild 502ci/500hp motor! Granted you don't find a whole lot of 502s in oval track racing but the D Flow Race Demon can be factory configured for your specific application: General Competition (GC), Oval Track (OT), Traction Master (TM), and Drag Race (DR). Plus, it's available for gas or alcohol.

In addition to the power gains, the D Flow has a great fuel curve, offers better fuel distribution and has a great throttle response. The 1.562 venturi are available in annular or down-leg booster and flow 980 to 1080 cfm. That means that a conventional 1.75-inch butterfly would be equivalent to a 2.020-inch butterfly all contained in a 4150 base!

The patent-pending D Flow Race Demon has all of the standard features that have made Race Demons popular among many racers, such as direct bolt up to a 4150 baseplate and the aforementioned billet-aluminum metering blocks and billet aluminum baseplates. D Flow Race Demons pricing is as follows: Drag Race and Oval Track versions $950.35, General Competition $923.35, Traction Master $1150.15.
