2014 GMC Sierra T-Rex Torch Series Front Grille Install

The first impressions of the new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1/2-ton trucks were mixed at best. Most people felt that GM didn’t do enough to make them look less like the previous generation. To remedy this, aftermarket companies have been working day and night to get parts out for these trucks to make them look like GM couldn’t. One of these companies is T-Rex Grilles. T-Rex has been a leader in the grille industry for more than 15 years. Recently, with the rise in popularity of LED lightbars, T-Rex unveiled their Torch Series of grilles. These come in a variety of designs depending on the vehicle, all with built-in lightbars. They also offer a wiring kit to eliminate having to cut into your factory wires. After ordering the grille (PN: 6312081, $1,462.36) and wiring kit (PN: 639HAR1, $89.03) for our 2014 GMC Sierra, we pulled the truck into the shop and got down and dirty.   |   5. Before cutting the factory grille out, we had to remove the inner grille surround. This helps guide more air over the radiator and will be reattached later.
