BedRug Install on a 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 - BedRug Protection

When it comes to truck enthusiasts, the key word seems to be individuality. Who wants to go out and plunk down $40,000 on a brand-new truck only to have someone pull up right next to you in the exact same truck? This might not be such a big deal if you happen to be driving a machine designed to pick up garbage or deliver overnight packages or bottled water, but it certainly is if the truck you drive is your pride and joy. Individuality can be simple changes. Anything to illustrate to the rest of the world that you will not follow blindly like so many other sheep.   |   0811 8l 01 Bedrug Install On 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Scratch Proofing This statement of individuality has spawned an entire aftermarket, catering to almost any whim from lift kits and rollbars to hydraulics and horsepower. If you're looking to express yourself, chances are the trucking world has something to help you make your statement. With individuality in mind, we set out to illustrate a few modifications to an '04 Dodge 3500 4x4 turbodiesel. Though the minor mods were performed on a Dodge Ram, they would be just as useful on another make or model. The BedRug by Wise Industries can be applied not only to other Dodge models but to Ford and Chevy versions as well In addition to good looks, the BedRug offers bed protection for our Dodge Ram 3500. The bed of any pickup, especially anything used on a daily basis, tends to get scratched and banged up during the life of the truck. While this is standard fare for a work truck, scratches on the bed are every bit as unsightly as those on a fender. The BedRug covers the truck bed with a padded (and carpeted) surface to all but eliminate scratches to the bed. You'd really have to go out of your way to scratch the paint through the BedRug, but doing so would sacrifice the BedRug as well. Installation was simple and straightforward, requiring only an hour or so. The custom-molded carpet was secured in place using Velcro with adhesive backing. Check out the photos for installation details. The finished product was so plush and comfortable, the bed of the Dodge Ram 3500 was more a place for the ultimate tailgate party than some place you toss a load of gravel.   |   There is nothing better looking to a truck owner than a picture-perfect bed. Unfortunately, keeping it shiny and scratch-free is all but impossible without some sort of protection.
