2015 Ford F-250 ARB Bumper & Warn Winch Install - To Protect and Pull

As any overlander can tell you, one of the best pieces of protection you can give your truck is a strong, tough bull bar, which will protect you from wildlife collisions and deflect brush, branches, and other flora away from your rig. Of course, for many people, the biggest draw to a bull bar is the tough, heavy-duty style it adds to a vehicle. For this ’15 Ford F-250 XLT, we selected ARB’s Modular Winch Bar (also available for the Ram Heavy Duty), a product that’s sold in three configurations, enabling owners to customize trucks for their particular protection needs and personal style. We went with the whole-hog Full Deluxe kit, which included the bull bar, “Sahara” grille hoop, and headlight guards. The bar has mounting points for auxiliary driving lights and antennae, as well as a connecting point for a jack. Also included with the bumper are new foglights, since we’ll be removing the F-250’s stock bumper and integrated lamps. Warn 16 5 Ti Winch   |   ARB’s Modular Bull Bar is designed so that winches like this Warn 16.5ti bolt right on. This winch should have no problem pulling almost anything out of trouble thanks to its 16,500-pound weight rating. To add an extra measure of confidence, we tacked on a Warn 16.5ti thermometric winch. With a 16,500-pound weight rating, the winch is more than capable of pulling almost any vehicle out of a sticky situation. The winch mounts directly to the bull bar using pre-drilled holes, and the wiring is easy to hook into the truck’s electrical system. Follow along as we head up to Hot Rod Ranch in Lompoc, California, to install these heavy-duty pieces of equipment on our Super Duty.
