BOLT Locks - Hot Products

Strattec, the company that most likely manufactured the ignition lock that starts your car or RV, released their BOLT line of locks a few years back. They’re one of those items that just makes perfect sense. BOLT locks are keyed alike, to your vehicle’s ignition key. No more fumbling through a massive hula-hoop-sized key ring looking for a single elusive key, or hearing the dreaded, “Oops, I left that key at home.” Here’s how the technology works: When you insert your ignition key into the lock cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down until they match exactly to your key. The first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is uniquely coded to that key and that key alone. When the key is removed, the cylinder moves into a locked position and is ready for use. Simple as that. Set up takes a couple seconds. We’ve been using BOLT Locks on everything we own for a few years. There’s one for our hitch pin, a pair for the rear tailgate on the trailer, another on our coupler, and the last one, a cable lock that makes the rounds from the portable generator to the dirt bikes. We use these locks and beat them up regularly. To date, we’ve had zero problems. Blot Locks Hitch Pin   |   Blot Locks Hitch Pin
