BD Diesel Performance’s lightweight Velocity billet compressor wheel is milled with nine extended-blade tips for the Ford ’99½ to ’03 7.3L engines, and it has improved performance and response compared to the factory stock cast wheel designs. Nelson Racing Engines recently announced it is shipping production quantities of the patented symmetrical mirror-image turbos—shipped in pairs, of course. One turbo’s compressor shaft spins in a clockwise rotation, while that turbo’s mate spins its shaft in the counterclockwise direction. NRE claims this design increases performance, reliability, and ease of installation—not to mention how good twin turbos can look when they are on opposite sides of the engine compartment.
