Auto Insurance Claims: car was hit on side and driver kept going, hit and run

My husband was driving and somebody just hit on the back of drivers side. The individual kept going we were not able to get a license plate number or a good description of the other vehicle, we only have liability on the vehicle, can anyone help us or this cut and dry we pay for everything?

  The only suggestion I have is to make sure there were no video cameras in the area where it occurred that might have captured the incident.  I'm sorry to say that if there were no cameras, then your inability to identify the at fault party means that with only liability coverage this is a situation where you will have to pay for repairs yourself.
