Auto Insurance Claims: auto accident - should injury, shoulder injury

Question
I was involved in an auto accident in Sept. 07.  The other driver pulled out from a side street without looking and hit my car in the right front slamming me into the driver door.  I have had pain in my shoulder since, and I am assuming, after this much time, that it will not go away.  The other driver's insurance company was great about my car, but now they want to offer me $2000 for pain and suffering, in addition to my medical bills (around 2900), as they say it appears to be a soft tissue injury.  Is this fair? Thank you.

Answer
Sorry for the delay.  You need a medical diagnosis from a medical doctor that indicates your injury is more than a soft tissue injury if you want too much more.  If you have a soft tissue injury only, then the offer is close, but a shoulder injury, even a soft tissue one, normally commands a little more pain and suffering award because of the sensitive nature of the ball and socket joint that comprises it.
