Auto Insurance Claims: damange, minor collision, right car

Question
Someone is saying that my car was reported in a minor collision.  But that was not me.  My car was parked on the street while I was work.  The other person's insurance came to take pictures of my car to make sure they got the right car.  My car does have dents/sratches from PREVIOUS things.. what happens if they say the damage matches their damage?  How do I know that the other guy didn't hit me in some parking lot and claiming that I hit him?

Hi Kim,

There is no way to know what will happen until it happens. If someone contacts you and says that you hit their car and you know that you did not, then you simply deny it. Tell them that they will have to sue you and prove it in a court of law. Other wisejust tell them to go away.
