Answer
Hi Paul,

There is not much for you to do at this point. You need to be sure you report this to your insurance company. They will handle all negotiations with the injured party or their attorney. If you receive any correspondence from the injured party or their attorney, you need to immediately forward it to your insurance company.

It may be several months before there are any demands presented. Negotiations on these type of claims do not even begin until all treatment has been completed and the injured party has been released from medical care. You should be notified by your insurance company if any demands received will exceed your available coverage. However your insurance company will defend you and will do everything thay can to settle the claim within your policy limit.

So take a deep breath and just go about your regular routine. The may not be anything to worry about and certainly not for quite some time.

I hope this helps
