Auto Insurance Claims: total loss, comparables, insurance company
this was it before the
recently my vehicle was totaled or thats what the insurance company said. what happen was i had my truck legally parked and as i was coming back to my truck some other truck smashed in to the back of my truck. now the his insurance says it a loss and they only want to give me $1100 i know its worth more then that what can i do to get what its worth and not what they say its worth i am in washington state

Hi Isreal,

You have to fight. First you should demand that they provide you a copy of the documentation they used to determine the value of your vehicle. Then you can review it for errors. Next you need to research other vehciel like yours currently for sale. You can visit www.autotrader.com . Look for other vehicle like yours and print out 3 to 5 comparables. Then send that infor to the insurance comapny to try to negotiate a better price.
