Auto Insurance Claims: medical, medical insurance company, payment coverage

Question
i was recently involved in a car accident. i have recived my medical bills, they are over $5,000. i used my medical insurance for the bill. would the insurance company(state farm), pay my full medical bills(including what my medical insurance paid) or would they just cut me a check for what i have to pay out of pocket?

Answer
Hi Pedro-

I'm not sure if you are talking about your insurance company or another responsible company due to someone else being at fault.  If it is your insurance company then you would have to have medical payment coverage and then they will pay your out of pocket expense.

If you are referring to the other responsible insurance company, they will probably pay all of the medical expenses, but then you will be required to pay back your medical insurance company back what they paid.
