Auto Insurance Claims: Vehicle accident Question, lienholder, yield sign

Question
Last week I was involved in an accident, and have some questions.  The individual who hit me "ran" a yield sign-we are still waiting for his ins co. to accept liability.  I am without a vehicle since mine is not driveable- can I get a rental?  Also if my car is declared totaled am I out of luck since I have a lien holder? ( my car which was worth next to nothing to begin with is collaterol for a 10,000 loan.  any payment would got to them right?
Tks

Answer
Hi Richard,

You can get a rental yourself and if the other company accepts liability they should reimburse you.

Unfortunately, if the vehicle is totaled and you have a lienholder, any paynebts would go directly to the lienholder.

I hoipe this helps
