Nissan Repair: speedometer and odomiter dead, wrecking yard, source one

Question
Hello Von , My 1995 Pathfinder speedometer and odomiter died at the same time I dont have a digital display just gauges, the gas and tachomiter gauges work fine.
Read some of the post in this group, and I am thinking that I may have kick a cable or something under the dashboard to stop the gauge from working. could you explan the steps one should use in troubleshooting this problem.

I would take the instrument panel out and check the connection.  Though it does sound like the speedometer and odometer are gone.  You could source one from a wrecking yard or send yours out for repair.  It is not advisable to drive it with the instruments out as it sends the signal to the computer for speed information.  If you could get one at a wrecking yard it would be best.
