Auto Insurance Claims: auto accident, credit card statements, negligence claims

Question
We were in an accident in Little Rock live in California in 2009.
We have not received one penny from insurance and attorney never seems satisfied with paperwork we send.  He has everything from irs, credit card statements, bank statements, job contracts, medical bills, medical info plus I've been put on ssd and he has all papers and reports.
We were back east until April before I was released to come home and had additional surgery.  I am dyeing from conditions related to accident.  We are being told we will get no refund for living expenses, airline tkts, food, mileage so on just actual money for medical bills which our insurance company wants.  I take perocet on good days and morphin on worse days.  Never have day without pay.  My granddaughter was 4 and lost 40% of hearing in one ear and they say she was so young we cant prove it.  Ny husband had glass still being removed 11 months after accident from under his eye socket.  I am pissed.  How can this happen, we have spent our whole savings on medical and expenses, can prove it our home was in foreclosure but we have been able to catch that up.  I just don't trust anyone.  Please tell me this is not right.  Thank you

Answer
Sorry for the delay, I have been popular today.

Carol, I truly want to help you find the answers you need to determine the best course of action for yourself, but I just don't have enough information. Auto accident negligence claims are based on tort law and are civil suits just waiting to happen. Up until a suit is filed, everybody is just negotiating in good faith.  I know this may not be what you're looking for, but I suggest you call my office.  I simply cannot address the complex issues involved your case via an internet board like this, it is just too complicated.

Obviously, if you are dying as a result of the accident, then you have an unusual case, and I would have to have many questions answered before I could give you any reliable insight as to what is going on, especially since you indicated you have an attorney.  What is up with that?  They aren't answering the phone?  In AR, a motorist is only required to have $50K to cover injuries, so if the person that hit you only had the minimum required, then the maximum your family could get would be the $50K (less the attorneys' fee).  If that's the case, you will not likely see much on this claim at all unless you had your own coverage for special damages.  Anyway, your case is just too complicated for me to answer via Allexperts.  Our company is easy to find on the interent, so simply remember that information is always free at Petty Details, LLC and look me up my direct line on the internet and call me directly if you want to discuss further.  I can't provide you with legal advice, but I can be a good sounding board and can explain the procedures involved in almost every claim scenario.  I strive to answer my phone whenever it rings.  You surely have options, but I don't have enough info to list them for you.
