Auto Insurance Claims: Pain and Suffering, pain and suffering settlements, pain and suffering

I was stopped to turn and was rear ended at 60 miles an hour. I had several injuries and was air lifted to a local hospital where I spent the next 6 days. I have been recovering since the accident 11/20/07.  Can you explain pain and suffering settlements?  My attorney says the supreme court has changed the laws and I probably won't get any settlement---due to the fact that I will recover from my injuries and go on in life.  I live in Michigan where we have no fault. Please explain this to me.

Based on your explanation, it would sound like you would be entitled to sizable settlement.

I am not specifically aware of the laws in Michigan. You should ask your attorney to provide you with a better explanation. If he will not or is unable to, perhaps you should fire him and get a new attorney.
