Auto Insurance Claims: Insurance Claim Granted, motorcycle wheels, mototcycle

Question
I recently had my motorcycle wheels stolen. I received a quote from the dealer and submitted it to the adjuster. I just found out the adjuster sent the check to the dealer b/c there is a lien on the bike. Do I have to work with the dealer for the parts or can I get the money for myself? This way I can get the same parts at a cheaper price instead of dealing with the dealer. I live in California if this helps.

Answer
Hi Phil,
Because your mototcycle is being financed, your insurance company has an obligation to the lein holder to make sure the wheels are replaced, therefore, the check is made jointly to you and the repair shop.
I trust this has been of help.
