Auto Insurance Claims: I was hit & having issues with B party Ins., lump sum settlement, injurys

Question
I was rear ended by a woman on my way to work. It wasnt very hard but shortly after I had some pain in my neck and between my sholders. There wasnt much damage to my ctruck or her volvo, so the company wants to further investigate my injurys. I feel as though they don't think they should have to do anything about it. So Im worried now that I will be left with all the bills from treatment. Im 23 and healthy I have never had any pain before, is this normal what there doing because I feel like im on trial. Please get back to me as soon as you can I have a meeting with the man at 2:30. Thank you so much!!!

Answer
Hi Lindsay,

Insurance companies look at everyone as if they were trying to steal the company's money.  If you were injured you should not put off getting treatment. However, the insurance company will not pay your medical bills as they are incurred. After all of your treatment is completed, you will then negotiate for a lump sum settlement that will include all of your medical bills, any lost wages, and pain & suffering that should be 2 to 3 times the medical bills.

I'm sorry I could not respond to you earlier but, I was not in the office until a little while ago.

I hope this helps
