Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: super heat switch wire, correct boot, refrigerant

Question
Hi, I have a 72 corvette with air. The car is completely original. The air works great. There is a wire that goes from the cut out switch on the back of the compressor to a fuse. I'm told it's a black ground wire that when the compressor refrigerant gets low it will activate that switch and then blow the fuse for protection. I am completely missing that jumper. I have been looking for 2 months trying to find one. Seems no one has them. I don't think they are part of any harness. I can get a terminal and black wire but I would need the correct boot that goes on the switch. Do you or anyone know where I can find this jumper. I want to keep the car the way it came off the assembly line. I am hoping to have it judged next year. Help Help Help

Answer
HI Bob

I'm not sure if you need the fuse it self or the complete wire.  You can call my office 305-468-8387 to explain and I'll try and find it for you.  I like it when people try and get these beauties back to there original shape.  Good luck and let me know .
