Hello, I have a 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan and I know that the a/c leaks.  The problem is that I am trying to recharge it with some stop leak and some UV dye, but the compressor will not turn on to pull any of it in.  So I was wondering how I jump the compressor to turn on or if there is some other way to get the refrigerant into the system.  By the way it is the 3.3L engine.

Hi Dennis

When you start charging the system the compressor will start up when it reaches 50 psi.  This will happen as soon as you start charging the system with the first can.  If it does not start then you may have an electrical problem and not a freon problem.
