Question
My a/c blower volume works fine for about 30 minutes, and then it gradually lessens,  It returns to normal after shutting the system off for a few minutes. then the cycle repeats.  how do I go about repairing this.

Answer
Trapr,
It sounds as though one of two things are happening. The first of which is that your blower motor is going out on you.The longer it runs, the motor heats up, the windings/brushes inside the motor may be worn and slowing down. The fix - replace it.
The other is as follows:
Inside your dash there are many doors and vents all controlling the direction in which the air travels, according to where you place the setting on the control panel at. IE: floor, defrost, panel, etc. These doors are controlled by one of two methods. The first of which is the electronic  control logic, in which the individual door actuators open/close according to what the control head tells it to do. The second manner of controlling these doors is by vaccuum lines. The Vaccuum control manifold is told by your control panel which doors to open and close, and it does. There may be a pinhole leak inside one of the vaccuum lines which weakens the pull on the door, allowing it to shut. Does it do this no matter where you direct the air? Try putting it on floor and see if this happens. The try defrost and see if it does the same. If it does that tells me either the vaccuum control manifold is weakening (not leaking from a vaccuum hose), or the motor is going bad. The motor is an easy replace in most vehicles, especially trucks. If it is anything but the motor, however, I recommend taking it to a reputable shop or even, dare I say it, the dealer, *shiver* to have them troubleshoot it.
I hope I was able to help a little, wish I could tell you more. But thanks for your question.
