Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 1998 A/C-Heater Blower, main lead, heater blower

Question
I have a 1998 Blazer 4Dr, 4.3.  I have had no recent work done to the vehicle.  Earlier today my A/C was blowing very good cool air.  Suddenly it stopped for a second and I turned it off and then back on it and came back on after turning the recerculater button on and off.  Then later in the day it stopped blowing agasin but will not come back on.  When I turn the a/c on I can hear the motor engage and the canister gets cold but no air come through.  Actually no air comes through when the a/c is off and the heater is turned on.  I had the blower replaced two years ago and one month.  I would think the blower would have lasted longer than that.  I checked all the A/C fuses.  They are good.  I feel the A/C relay is good as well due to the canister getting cold and sweating even though the blower is forcing any air.  Is there a blower relay that I can look into having replaced or even replace it myself.  Also if it is the blower itself, what kind of money am I looking at?  When I had it replaced a couple of years ago.  I had some other repairs made at that time.

Thanks already in advance.

Answer
Hello Ryan,Check the main lead wire that feeds current to the motor for voltage. If no current is seen, you may have an open circuit at the blower resistor or fan control switch. If you can feed 12v from the battery to the motor, see if the motor acts.Just using a process of elimination.

Good luck, davidt
