Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: AIR/HEAT, dodge grand caravan, grand caravan

Question
I have a 96 dodge grand caravan. My front air barely blows and when it does the rear air has to be on high. For a while myfront vents would work only on high...but only when rear air was on. Now we never know when the rear air is even going to blow air. When it does come on it's cold...What does it need?

Answer
Hello Sheryll, Sounds like you may have two problems happening. The front blower resistor or the fan switch is possibly defective. The rear is independant from the front. That`s why you have two fan switches. You may have also poor wiring connection at either the rear fan switch or blower motor.
If the blowers for back and front run high all the time,it
can cause the motors to fail earlier than normal. I would recommend an auto electic specialist to further check those areas asap.

Good Luck, Davidt
