Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: A/C suddenly barely cool, electronic leak detector, vacuum pump

I have a 1996 Olds 88. My a/c suddenly lost it's cold air, I had it charged, it's a little better, but not much. It was charged w/ a can and a half of freon, not to "full" could it be that simple???

If you had to add that much freon, you must have a leak in the system that needs to be found using an electronic leak detector.

once the leak is repaired, You must evacuate the system and evacuate all the air from the system with a vacuum pump and recharge the system.
