Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: air conditioning, vacuum leaks, chevy suburban

Question
I own a 1995 chevy suburban and the ac doesn't get real cold I've recharged it, but it takes very long for the truck to get cool, and if I don't turn on the rear air the front just gets a little cool so I have to turn on the rear air also should I have the system flushed and recharged or is there something else wrong that can be easly fixed. Thanks  James

Answer
I would have:

1. the system evacuated of all the freon.

2. replace the orfice tube (expansion valve).

3. Pull a vacuum on the system for about 45 minutes.

4. Check for vacuum leaks.

5. If no leaks, recharge the system with the exact amount of freon.
