Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: AC problem on 97 Ford Ranger, vacuum problem, vacuum lines

Question
Recently, my air conditioning has started blowing, intermittenly--every couple of minutes, out the defrost vents.  After experiencing very cold air a couple of weeks ago it is now only slightly cool.  I assume low on refrigerant but what about the air flow??

Answer
Anytime air flow comes out of the defrost vents when it is NOT put in the defrost position this is a case of a loose, cracked, pinched or plugged up vacuum, line somewhere in the engine compartment or under the dash.

Start looking for loose vacuum lines and fix them.

As for the decrease in coldness, same problem . Vacuum problem.
