Auto body repair & detailing: nissan 350z body trim

Hello,i have a questiom i just bought 2 roof trim moldings that arch the window but attach to the roof.i orded from a salvage yard but 2out of 6 clips broke he said not the screw just clips broke..what can i do will it still attach properly?

Hi Danny!....If 2 out of the original 6 clips broke, you could still install the moulding, spacing out the 4 remaining clips at even intervals if needed, unless there is a dedicated mounting position for each clip. The only problem with this, is that the moulding might not sit as tight and flush as needed. There was a reason the factory installed 6 clips, and spacing them at certain distances apart. My advice, is to check out your local Autobody/Parts retail outlet, and see if they can help you out with a replacement clip.
