Land Rover Repair: Land Rover, stop lamp, lamp switch

Question
We have a 1997 Discovery, and the break lights are not
working, and we are unable to take it out of park.

We read what you stated to do, and got a new switch, checked
all the fuses, etc. and they still are not working....can
you assist with what we should check next, or what the
problem could be?

Are you saying you changed the stop lamp switch above the brake pedal, and the fuse, and the brake lamps are inoperative and the truck is stuck in park?  If so, you need to follow the wiring back to the fusebox.  You will need a work shop manual and wiring diagram to take that step.  It's pretty straightforward; there are no computers or anything involved in that circuit.
