Auto body repair & detailing: kia roof replacement, auto body shop, seam seal

Question
QUESTION: how long does it take for auto body shop to replace roof on 2013 kia soul

ANSWER: Hi Clyde!....The average flat rate time to replace pretty much any roof, is between 14 and 18 hours. Actual time, depends on the skill level of the Technician, and what type of work, quality wise, that they perform. To do a roof replacement properly, the Technician needs to duplicate the exact number of welds that the Factory installed, replaces adhesives when and where required, and seam seal the roof to prevent water leaks....Hope that answers your question. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to drop me another line....Thanks....Dave

QUESTION: when they replace roof does the head liner get replaced to

Answer
Hi again Clyde!....In the case of a roof replacement, such as for example a hail damage claim, the headliner should definitely not need replacing. The only reason in this case to replace it, would be negligence on the part of the Technician, not taking proper steps to remove it or protect it prior to doing the roof replacement. That being said, in a case of a heavy high hit collision or roll over, in which the roof actually sustains substantial damage, it is definitely possible that the headliner will also have damage and need to be replaced....Hope that helps you out as well....Thanks again...Dave
